Keele was forced to retreat when [[Nicholas D. Wolfwood (manga)|Nicholas D. Wolfwood]] appeared and fired back at him. He took up position on a roof and pulled out a sniper rifle, hoping to finish the job in a single shot, but was interrupted by Meryl. She'd figured out that Keele wanted to permanently "manage" the risk by assassinating Vash, and then he and his accomplices would volunteer to help clean up the damage to the town for some extra money on the side. He aimed a gun at Meryl's head... and was sent flying by one of [[Milly Thompson (manga)|Milly Thompson]]'s stun gun fangs. He skidded across the ground on his face.

He was taken to the hospital, where he yelled and cursed about Meryl. Wolfwood heard about his being in the hospital and paid him a visit; in revenge for hurting Vash, Wolfwood poured hot sauce on Keele's wounds.

Keele is a mature-looking man with sharp features and light-colored hair that he keeps slicked back. He wears rectangular glasses, a suit with a cravat and a pocket square, and dress shoes. While in the field, he wears a long coat over his suit and a hat.
