Little Jersey had some local riffraff that were known to cause trouble. When [[Vash the Stampede (anime)|Vash the Stampede]] came by the town, he stepped in to help with the troublemakers, which led to the town being badly damaged. News of Vash's appearance here was reported to the [[Bernardelli Insurance Society]], which led to [[Meryl Stryfe (anime)|Meryl Stryfe]] and [[Milly Thompson (anime)|Milly Thompson]] being sent back into the field to prevent him from causing further damage. When the girls arrived in Little Jersey, Meryl spoke with a man who recounted what had happened. He was shocked to find out that the man who had been "weeping and eating donuts" was the legendary gunman, Vash the Stampede.{{Storylink|HANG FIRE}}<br />
