Biography

Helen was traveling with her mother and sister, Tania, on the bus to May City. When the bus stopped for a break, Helen and Tania complained to their mother they were hungry and tired. Their tired mother urged the girls to be patient and that she'd buy them plenty to eat once they arrived in the city, but they continued to complain. Wolfwood had been watching this interaction and approached the family. He asked the girls if they were hungry and Helen responded affirmatively. Wolfwood shared two of his three meal blocks with Helen and Tania, and their mother thanked him.

Shortly after, the bus was attacked by strange robots. The panicked passengers fled back to the bus. However, at some point, Helen had been grabbed by one of the robots.

On the bus, her mother realized that Helen was missing and both Vash and Wolfwood leapt out of the moving bus to find her. Vash and Wolfwood chased down the robots and began to fight them. Helen emerged from behind one of the defeated robots, scared and crying, but alive and unharmed. They tried to get to Helen, but more robots kept appearing and attacking the men. Helen was grabbed by another robot in the commotion, which Vash skillfully shot down, freeing her from its grasp. Unfortunately, Vash and Wolfwood both landed in quicksand. Helen watched the two men screaming and flailing as they whirled around in the quicksand and were pulled underground, remarking "what a way to go"sub/"what an embarrassing way to go."dub

Helen was rescued and safely reunited with her mother and Tania, and the family completed their journey to May City. MURDER MACHINE
