Leonof the Puppetmaster is a Gung-Ho Gun who appears in Trigun (1998 anime).
Biography
Leonof participated in the massacre Roderick Thieves at Jeneorarock and was present for the Gung-Ho Gun roll call. DEMONS EYE
Leonof participated in the Polo/Fris feud by puppeteering Lurald. When the situation resolved, Leonof was seen outside of the town of New Oregon collecting Lurald into his case. At the same time, Leonof reported to Legato that Vash the Stampede is "on the move" again via another puppet, Unica. HANG FIRE
When Vash went to visit the Flying Ship, Leonof was watching from outside through his bird puppets. He infiltrated the ship, along with Gray the Ninelives and Hoppered the Gauntlet (disambiguation), through the use of multiple puppets. Leonof was able to report to Legato, once again through Unica, that Nicholas D. Wolfwood had turned traitor. FLYING SHIP
After the Flying Ship crashed, it was revealed that Jessica had been kidnapped and replaced by one of Leonof's puppets in an attempt to kill Vash the Stampede. Brad (disambiguation) was shot and killed by the Jessica puppet when he shielded Vash from the gunshots. Leonof is taken off-guard by Brad's sacrifice, remarking "I don't understand, it was a perfect plan." A shadow began to cover him, and he looked up to see Wolfwood on a floating platform from the Flying Ship above him. Wolfwood shouted in rage, calling Leonof a "depraved lunatic" before firing a missile from the Punisher. Leonof was killed in the explosion. OUT OF TIME
