Manga

Scene Two

In a similar vein to the extra comics included in the Trigun manga volumes, Kuroneko appears alongside Yasuhiro Nightow during the Scene Two Postscript comics included in the following books:

Anime

Kuroneko made several cameo appearances in the anime adaptation of the series.

Unlike her previous animated appearances by Madhouse, Kuroneko typically has white eyes, corresponding with Nightow's colored illustrations featuring her.

Opening Animations

fake town baby

Kuroneko makes a minor appearance in the second season's opening animation, set to the song "fake town baby" by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN. Starting at the 20-second mark, she can be seen perched on top of a public rubbish bin, seemingly hanging out with a blonde child in a blue tulip hat. Several people walk or run on the path beside them, including Leonardo Watch, Sonic Speed Monkey and Zapp Renfro.

Ending Animations

Step Up LOVE

Kuroneko also briefly appears in the ending animation for the second season, set to the song "Step Up LOVE" by DAOKO and Yasuyuki Okamura. The scene zooms in on her from behind, she turns her head to the viewer, then winks and strikes a pose with her right front paw and bottom raised into view.

Her colour palette has been slightly altered from her other appearances in order to suit the bright neon color scheme the ending animation uses, with the inside of her ears becoming a hot pink and her eyes being yellow.

Season 1

Episode 1 - Secret Society of the Magic-Sealed City

At 03:11, Kuroneko can be seen licking a child's dropped ice cream cone, during the scene where Leonardo Watch is chasing after Sonic Speed Monkey. The shot is part of an expository montage about Hellsalem's Lot, juxtaposed by both Leo's narration and a talk show discussing the history of the area.

Parts of this scene are reused in a short montage that precedes the opening credits animation in most other episodes. This version has a screen filter, distorted colors and the LIBRA logo embedded onto it, resembling CCTV footage.

Season 2

Episode 1 - Lights! Camera! Action!

Kuroneko is one of the many citizens of Hellsalem's Lot that Femt abducts, plants a larval synthesized demonbeast onto the head of, and then releases into the sky, alongside Leo. At 03:06, after the latter is saved from injury and/or death by Zapp, Kuroneko falls from the sky and bumps headfirst into Leo, cracking the jars holding the demonbeasts. Zapp quickly tries to prevent Leo's jar from completely shattering, but Kuroneko is nowhere to be seen after this, and what exactly happened to her is unknown.

Episode 3 - Day In Day Out

At 08:22, Kuroneko can be seen casually scuttling out of an alleyway alongside the Beyondian Nego, who is currently attempting to eat Zapp.

Episode 4 - Werewolf Mission: Chainpossible

Starting at 03:06, a small, white-furred Kuroneko can be seen sleeping in the arms of the Chief of the Werewolf Bureau.

Starting at 23:40, a paperweight resembling Kuroneko can be seen on Chain Sumeragi's coffee table.

Episode 10 - BRATATAT MOM

Starting at 23:35, Kuroneko can be seen on Caroline Foster's phone case as she comments on Kane's Famebook post. Caroline's profile picture on the website depicts her holding Kuroneko as well.
