Zazie the Beast is a Gung-Ho Gun who appears in Trigun (1998 anime).

Biography

Zazie participated in the massacre of the Roderick Thieves at Jeneorarock and was present for the Gung-Ho Gun roll call. DEMONS EYE

When he next appeared, he was disguised as a young boy wearing a poncho named Bete. He was caught by Milly while attempting to steal food from Vash and his party as they attempted to negotiate entry into the walled town of Keybos to get supplies. He led them back to an abandoned building, in which a group of orphaned kids had holed up after all of the adults in their respective hometowns had disappeared.

Vash and his party tended to the children, only to be ambushed the following morning by townsfolk and sandworms. Meryl, Milly, and the children made a run for Keybos, where they climbed a tall building for safety. However, the worms were relentless. It turned out that Bete was wearing a device to control the worms via high frequencies. Once the device was destroyed, Bete revealed that he was Zazie the Beast, a Gung-Ho Gun. He took Meryl hostage and pointed a gun at Vash, threatening to kill him. Vash tried to talk him down out of it, but was ultimately unsuccessful. Zazie was shot and killed by Wolfwood in a bid to save Vash's life.ALTERNATIVE
