Character

Appearance

Marianne is an attractive young woman. She is fairly tall and slender. She has long, slightly wavy blonde hair and violet eyes.

Marianne wears a floor-length dress. The skirt has a dark mauve outer layer and pale pink inner layer. The bodice is a a lighter mauve color and the sleeves and collar beneath are white. The sleeves are puffy at the shoulder and go down to her forearm, where they have a frilly edge. The shirt collar covers her neck. She wears her hair down with this outfit.

Marianne's marshal uniform is a red jumpsuit with a tall collar. Her badge is pinned on the left side of her chest. She wears her hair in an updo that points upwards. From a distance, she resembles Vash the Stampede in this outfit.

Personality

During her investigation of Mr. Cliff, Marianne styles herself as a polite but passive woman who worries for her own safety and relies on others to protect her. However, in reality she seems to have a passion for justice and protecting average people. She briefly speaks against Mr. Cliff's claims that hoarding the area's water is for the greater good, though since she's undercover, she stops herself and apologizes so as not to raise suspicion. Once she drops her cover and confronts Mr. Cliff, she vehemently argues with him over his profiteering actions, noting that his greed has caused the land to wither and die.

Occupation

Marianne is a Marshal from the Stantal Federal Bureau.

Family

Marianne is introduced as the granddaughter of the head of the Stantal Fedreal Bureau, though this may have only been a cover to get her inside of Mr. Cliff's mansion to investigate.

Relationships

Vash the Stampede

Cliff Schezar

Weapons

Crossbow Gun

Marianne's gun initially resembles a Long Colt revolver similar to Vash's. Unlike Vash's, it has a crossbow-like mechanism that can be activated. The purpose of this mechanism is unclear, as Marianne is unable to fire her gun due to the injury in her shoulder and being disarmed by Mr. Cliff.
