North America
Pioneer
Pioneer Entertainment (USA) Inc. was the first company to release Trigun in North America, starting in March 2000.[1][2][3] They first released the series in 8 volumes simultaneously on VHS and DVD.
VHS (Dub/Sub)
There are two separate versions of the tapes available for sale: one with the English dubbed audio and one with the original Japanese audio and English subtitles. The dubbed tapes retailed for $24.98 each while the subbed tapes retailed slightly higher at $29.98 each.[3][4]

DVD
The DVDs have both the original Japanese and English dubbed audio as well as English subtitles. They retailed at $29.98 each.[3][4] A boxed set containing all 8 DVD volumes was also released, featuring brand-new artwork by character designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu, which retailed at $199.98 for the entire set.[13]

Geneon
Following Pioneer's change in name to Geneon Entertainment Inc. (USA) in 2003[1][2], the company re-released Trigun on DVD starting in 2004.[14]
DVD - Geneon Signature Series
The DVDs are mostly identical to the original Pioneer release, but with updated packaging that added a red banner with the text "Geneon Signature Series" to the covers. The DVDs retailed for $19.98 each.[14]

DVD - Gungrave / Trigun / Hellsing
A collected release of 3 different anime series: Gungrave, Trigun, and Hellsing.[22] Each pack contained 3 DVDs, with each being 1 volume of each series. The Trigun DVDs included were from the Geneon Signature Series release. As there were only 4 volumes released, the full series was not released in this format—only the first 13 episodes.[23]
