Midvalley the Hornfreak is a Gung-Ho Gun who appears in Trigun (1998 anime) and Trigun Maximum.
Biography
1998 anime
The 1998 anime does not go into how Midvalley falls in with Knives and Legato. He appears for the first time with his band at the saloon in Jeneora Rock, where he is entertaining the patrons just before Legato slaughters the Roderick Thieves. He is next seen introducing the Gung-Ho Guns and pledging their loyalty to Legato up by Jeneora Rock's windmill. From then on, he acts as Legato's personal assistant - he is with Legato at Augusta when Vash uses his Angel Arm; he is with Legato at the beginning of "Out Of Time" when Legato promises Knives that he will make Vash's life a living hell; and he is with Legato again when Chapel the Evergreen is dealt with in the episode "Sin". Midvalley travels to LR Town with Legato to confront Vash, and reveals that he, like Legato, believes that Knives is an all-powerful being more or less worthy of worship. Vash and Midvalley fight until Midvalley's saxophone machine gun jams, at which time he chooses to detonate the gun and kill himself rather than be spared.

Weapon and Abilities
Saxophone
Midvalley utilizes a saxophone that is capable of being played like a normal instrument as well as used as a machine gun. The music he plays can create devastatingly powerful sound waves that can slay people. The machine gun components of the instrument remain hidden until activated.
1998 anime
Midvalley has named this saxophone "Sylvia." It resembles a tenor saxophone in size and shape, however, the curve of the neck piece is closer to that of an alto.
