This episode's story is adapted from Trigun Maximum volume 1, chapters 1 and 2. The scene of Vash and Knives in Vasquez's office was adapted in Trigun Maximum Volume 5, Chapter 3.
Notes
- Vash's flashback of Knives in July reuses animation seen in episode 12, but uses a different color palette and expands on the scene.
