Elizabeth is a minor character who appears in Trigun (1998 anime).
Biography
Elizabeth was originally a resident of the third city of July, along with her parents. On July 21, Stardate 0104, July was obliterated by Vash the Stampede, leaving Elizabeth and her family homeless. Her parents died in the aftermath of the event, causing her to wander the rubble for several days until consoled by a cloaked figure.
As an adult, Elizabeth was a plant engineer and representative of the Marius-Bresken-Kantacle Industrial Technical Union Work Dispatch Team sent to Inepril City to attempt to repair their plant. However, she had ulterior motives: she had heard that the man responsible for annihilating July was in the city as well and hoped to exact vengeance for the deaths of her parents. She hired Kesskass, an assassin, to try to kill Vash. Instead of directly sending him after Vash, she pretended that the assassin was after her and asked Vash to be her bodyguard to which he enthusiastically agreed.
Elizabeth finally tried to kill Vash herself by locking him in the chamber beneath Inepril's plant as it threatened to melt down. She recounted her story to him through the locked door. But Vash was not all that he seems, however - not only did he not die, but he also managed to restore Inepril's plant to a stable condition. Elizabeth angrily confronted him, drawing a gun on him, only to realize that somehow he was the same man who had consoled her all those years ago in the ruins of July.LOST JULY
After the Fifth Moon incident and destruction of Augusta, Elizabeth was seen working at a plant when she heard the rumors of Vash's involvement, looking saddened by the news.FIFTH MOON
