The Inepril bounty hunters are a group of unnamed minor characters who appear in Trigun (manga) and Trigun (1998 anime).

Biography

The bounty hunters ambushed a cafe in Inepril City where Vash was dining. They opened fire at Vash as Monica, the old man, Tonis, and his mother hid for cover. Thinking they had killed Vash, the bounty hunters began to celebrate their victory, proclaiming they were now billionaires and told Monica not to worry and that they could have the cafe rebuilt. Much to their surprise, Vash had gotten up and had slung his arm over one of the bounty hunters shoulders, and saying that he was very relieved that the place was going to be rebuilt. One bounty hunter noted that Vash "reeked of tomato," to which Vash replied that he'd gotten ketchup/tomato juice spilled on his coat. He then asked if they would cover his cleaning bill as well, which enraged one of the bounty hunters, who prepared to shoot Vash. However, they were all shot in the head by Vash using Tonis' toy guns. This only further enraged the bounty hunters, and the bounty hunter attempted to shoot Vash. Vash told them to go ahead and try, and pointed out that besides one bounty hunter, the rest of them had all used up their bullets. When asked how he knew, Vash replied that he'd counted. The defeated bounty hunters, now only wearing their underwear, walked away, leaving their clothes and gear behind to help cover the cost of repairs to the cafe.Trigun Ch.1HARD PUNCHER
