Geneon Entertainment (USA) Inc., originally known as Pioneer Entertainment (USA) Inc., was the former North American branch of Japanese entertainment company NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan.

History

Pioneer announced that they had obtained the rights for Trigun at the 1999 Anime Expo. The series was to be released on VHS and DVD in both English dubbed and subtitles versions across 8 volumes.[1][2]

The company officially changed their name from Pioneer Entertainment to Geneon Entertainment on October 1, 2003.[3] On September 28, 2007, Geneon (USA) ceased their distribution and marketing operations.[4]
