The back cover has the following summary:

STORY On a desert planet scorched by twin suns, bounty hunters scour the planet looking for Vash the Stampede who has a $$60,000,000,000 bounty placed on his head!  Vash has been credited with the destruction of several towns, but miraculously, there is no record of him ever taking a life. Who is this "Humanoid Typhoon"?

The episodes and DVD features are listed beside the story summary.

The DVD case insert is double-sided and reversible, featuring alternate artwork of Vash and Meryl from the TRIGUN STAGE-1 and TRIGUN STAGE-2 covers, with the boxes originally reading "STAGE-1" and "STAGE-2" being changed to read "DISC 1" on each.

The DVD case is packaged in a cardboard slipcover with an identical front and back design to the DVD case insert. The Trigun logo on the front and spine are embossed and glossy. The artwork on the front cover is glossy, and the artwork on the spines are embossed and glossy as well. The rest of the slipcover is printed with a matte finish.
