Rai-Dei the Blade is a Gung-Ho Gun who appears in Trigun (1998 anime) and Trigun Maximum.

Biography

1998 anime

Rai-Dei participated in the massacre Roderick Thieves at Jeneorarock and was present for the Gung-Ho Gun roll call. DEMONS EYE

Rai-Dei again appeared in in the city of Augusta to challenge Vash to a fight after killing would-be competitor E.G. Mine. Rai-Dei was disgusted by Vash's lack of interest in fighting him, but he was also frustrated because if Vash wouldn't fight him, then he couldn't achieve the supposed enlightenment that comes with facing the fear of death. Rai-Dei backed Vash up against a wall and revealed that his katana also contained a gun by firing a few shots. Vash's Angel Arm then began to activate, due to the control of Legato. This surprised Rai-Dei, and then began to frighten him. He didn't know what is happening and desperately begged for an explanation despite Vash's pleas for him to run away. As a result, Rai-Dei unwittingly ended up getting a front-row seat to the destruction of Augusta. He miraculously survived, only to be shot dead by Nicholas D. Wolfwood when he tried to appeal to Wolfwood to help him stop Vash (who had disappeared by this time).FIFTH MOON (disambiguation)
