Crunchyroll LLC, originally known as FUNimation Entertainment, is a North American entertainment and distribution company.
History
FUNimation Entertainment was founded in 1994.[1]
FUNimation Entertainment obtained the distribution rights for select Geneon titles on July 3, 2008.[2] On February 14, 2010, they announced they had licensed the 1998 Trigun anime for distribution.[3][4] In July 2010, FUNimation announced they were to license the film Trigun: Badlands Rumble in 2011.[5]
The company rebranded to Crunchyroll LLC in March 2022.[1]
