Characters

In order of appearance:

Manga

While the most of this episode's story is original to the anime, much of the first half is adapted from Trigun chapters "A GATHERING OF DEMONS" and "DEMON'S EYE", with the following notable differences:

  • In the anime, Vash, Meryl, and Milly meet Wolfwood directly after the events of the B. D. N. arc. In the manga, Wolfwood's introduction occurs later, following the Little Arcadia arc, Legato's introduction, and Vash's battles with both Monev the Gale and E.G. Mine.
    • Because of his earlier introduction, Vash does not ask Wolfwood if he knows anything about Legato while on the bus, as he does in the manga.
  • Wolfwood gives meal bars to the two girls, who are accompanied by their mother. In the manga, Wolfwood gives coins to two unaccompanied children.
  • In the manga, Legato's encounter with the Roderick Thieves is happening concurrently with Wolfwood's introduction on the bus. In the anime, Legato's scene instead occurs later on in episode 15.
  • Vash has both of his arms. In the manga, Vash is missing his right arm at the time he meets Wolfwood.
  • In the anime, the bus' destination is May City, while in the manga it's destination is Juneora Rock.

Notes

Errors

Animation

  • The written spelling of May City is inconsistent. The bus marquee reads "MEI-CITY", and the sign at the bus stop changes from "MAY CITY" to "MEI CITY" in the final scene.
