Summary

Music

The end credits animation is set to the song "風は未来に吹く" (Hepburn: Kaze wa Mirai ni Fuku) by AKIMA & NEOS. The full song was released on the Kaze Wa Mirai Ni Fuku (single), Trigun The First Donuts, and Trigun: Spicy Stewed Donut soundtrack CDs.

Versions

At least two versions of the end credits with minor visual differences in each scene are known to exist.

Note: The names "Version A" and "Version B" are not official.

Notable Differences

Throughout the entire ending animation, the colors in version A are darker in comparison to version B.

Scene 1

The framing of the shot is different. The shape and placement of the sun is different. The lens flare effect is softer and aligned differently in version A than the one in version B.

Scene 2

The framing of the shot is different. The umbrella is yellow in version A and white in version B. The coloring and shading on Vash has been redone.

Scene 3

The framing of the shot is different. The drink is green in version A and blue in version B. The railing behind Vash is lower in version B. The edge of an uneven wooden plank roof is visible above Vash in version B. The mountains in the background are lower in version B. The coloring and shading on Kuroneko, Vash, the table, and chair has been redone. There is additional shading and detail on Vash's sculpture in version A that is absent in version B.

Scene 4

The framing of the shot is different. In version A, the lens of Vash's glasses are fully opaque, while in version B, they are translucent. The coloring, shading, and highlights on the glasses' frames and lens are done differently in each version. The shape of the sparkle is different. The reflection cast by the glasses' lenses are shaped and colored differently, with version A's being darker and sharper and version B's being lighter and softer. The coloring and shading on Vash, the two Kuronekos, and hammock has been redone.

Scene 5

The background image is much clearer in version A, while in version B it is blurry and faded. In version B horizon line is slightly higher and Vash's placement is altered slightly from version A. The animated wind effect in the foreground is more visible in version A while it is barely visible in version B. The lens flare effect is brighter, sharper, and aligned differently in version A than the one in version B.
