Biography
1998 anime
Frank Marlon was a famous and talented gunsmith. When a group of vicious bandits attacked Warrens City, Frank handed out guns he'd made to everyone in town and taught them how to use them. The people considered him a hero.
Unfortunately, Frank's wife and child were killed in the crossfire of a bank robbery. The guns they had been shot with had been made by Frank, and he had personally given them to the robbers. Frank blamed himself for their deaths and began drinking heavily, becoming an alcoholic.
Ten years later, Vash the Stampede came to Warrens City looking for Frank Marlon to get his gun repaired. PEACE MAKER
Frank was seen drinking again after hearing about how Vash destroyed Augusta. FIFTH MOON
Wolfwood brought Vash's damaged Long Colt revolver to Frank Marlon to be repaired after the Fifth Moon incident. Frank fixed the gun for free when Wolfwood mentioned Vash's name. GOODBYE FOR NOW

Character
Appearance
Frank appears to be a middle-aged man. He is of average height, standing about a head shorter then Vash. He has tan skin, curly dark brown hair styled in a messy pompadour, and blue eyes. He has a slight mustache and beard on his chin. Frank's hands are shown to be very rough, presumably from his work as a gunsmith.
Frank wears a dark yellow jacket with gray shoulders with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. The jacket's inner sleeves and collar is gray. His shirt is light gray with a blue border and four buttons. His pants are dark brownish-grey with the legs tucked into his black boots.

Personality
Frank seems to have had been a very good-natured, generous, and selfless person in the past, taking it upon himself to help the people of Warrens City protect themselves from bandits. After the death of his family, he became very pessimistic and took to drinking to forget his troubles and became an alcoholic. He is nearly always drunk and shamelessly begs others to buy him a drink, causing him to constantly be thrown out of establishments and being threatened by others. When drunk, Frank is overly friendly and touchy with others. When sober, he is far more calm, respectful, and level-headed, but still shows a playful personality.
Occupation
Frank is a famous and talented gunsmith. The Frank Marlon Special gun is an example of his work.
