LaserDisc & VHS [1]
This first release, consisting of 13 volumes, was released simultaneously on LaserDisc and VHS. Each volume included a 4-page newspaper-styled insert called Monthly Satellite Times, which contained bonus content such as production materials, messages and insight from the staff, interviews with the cast and crew, and illustrations from guest artists. The cover illustrations were done by Yasuhiro Nightow.

Two limited edition boxes made to hold the LaserDisc versions were released. The cover illustrations were done by Yasuhiro Nightow.
Rental Video series (VHS & DVD)
This release consisted of 7 volumes. The VHS versions were released between 1998[2] and 1999[3] and the DVD versions were released between 2004[4] and 2005[5]. The cover illustrations were done by Takahiro YoshimatsuTrigun Art Book.
