Legato Bluesummers (manga): Difference between revisions

Legato takes control of the Gung-Ho Guns while Knives is recuperating. He uses them to find and torment Vash, partly on Knives' behalf and partly for his own vengeance. He first introduces himself to Vash by telling him that twelve demons will pursue him, each carrying half a quarter that can be fitted into a special coin case. Legato gives the case to Vash, telling him that if he completes it, something interesting will happen. He appears again in Jeneora Rock, where he curb-stomps the Roderick Gang much the same way he does in the anime before leaving to climb up to a church instead of a windmill. Legato, Conrad, and the Gung-Ho Guns have gathered there to witness Knives' revival, which happens through a literal act of birth. Legato sees Vash approaching, and instinctively orders the Gung-Ho Guns to kill him. Unfortunately, this makes Knives irate, and his first act after revival is to crush Legato into a ball and destroy his spine. Then the "Fifth Moon" incident happens and Vash disappears for two years. Legato is presumably tended to medically during this time.
