If a section has no relevant information for the character, it should be omitted completely from the article. However, the following are required for each character page:

  • Infobox
  • Introductory sentence
  • Biography
  • Character
  • Appearances
  • Page categories

Intro

Start with this basic introductory sentence: Name is a character from Name of series.

Infobox

Fill out the infobox template {{Character Info}}. Use only the fields relevant to the character--if anything does NOT apply, leave it blank.

Requirements

Required fields are:

  • subj|Character name
  • first|First appearance
  • last|Last appearance (may be omitted if character only appears once)

First & Last Appearances

For the first & last appearance fields, use the |first & |last fields UNLESS the character appears in multiple continuities. Characters who appear in the early manga chapters and 1998 anime and have shared pages are most likely to require the |firstmanga, |lastmanga, |firstanime, and |lastanime fields.

Voice Actors

These fields should only be used on anime & Stampede continuity pages.

  • If a voice actor is unknown, add "Unknown/uncredited".
  • If the character does not speak at all and has no voice credits, do not use the field at all.
  • If there are multiple actors, use superscript to specify their role.
    • Example:
      Jeff Nimoy 1998
      Brad Hawkins film
  • If an actor is credited with a stage name and their real name is known, use their real name and then in parenthesis add "(credited as *name*)"
    • Example: Kirk Bailey (credited as Bo Williams)

Biography

This section is for explaining the character's story. This should be written in third person and in past tense. Use the {{Storylink}} template to add citations in the text of this section.

Character

This section is for describing the character. It should be written in third person and in present tense. Use the {{Storylink}} template to add in-canon citations in the text of this section.

Appearance

Describe the character's physical appearance and clothing they wear.

Personality

Describe the character's personality.

Occupation

Describe the character's job, if they have one.

Family

Describe the character's family and their relationships with them.

Family Member

Use a subheader for each notable family member. If they have a page on the wiki, it should be linked from the subheader.

Relationships

Describe the character's notable relationships with characters who are not family members.

Character

Use a subheader for each notable character relationship. If they have a page on the wiki, it should be linked from the subheader.

Weapons

Describe any weapons this character uses.

Weapon

Each specific weapon should be described under a subheader.

Weapons & Abilities

If the character has any notable fighting abilities in addition to a weapon, use this section.

Ability

Each specific ability should be described under a subheader.

Abilities

If the character does not use any weapons but possesses notable abilities, use this section.

Non-Canon

This section is for any appearances the character has made in an official work, but is not part of the canon. Examples of this include audio dramas, toy bios, and the guest comics in the Multiple Bullets anthology. NOTE: Do not include fanon in this section!

Development

This section is for noting behind-the-scenes type information, such as interviews talking about the creation of the character.

Gallery

This section is for images.

Notes

This section is for notes, trivia, and miscellaneous information.

Appearances

This section is for listing all appearances of this character.

Series

Each specific series should have a subheader.

  • Each chapter/episode in this series should be listed in a bullet list.

for 1998 anime only

Divide into Episodes/Opening Credits/Preview Only if relevant.

References

The citations will create a list of references in this section.

Categories

The page should be placed in the "Characters" category along with any other relevant ones, such as the series and continuities they belong in.

Other

Disambiguations

If a character has a counterpart in another continuity or shares their name with another page, add the {{Disambig}} template to the top of the page to create a link to the disambiguation page.

Images

Relevant images may be placed outside of the gallery section to complement article text.

Subpages

Should a certain section contain a lot of information, subpages may be created and linked to in the relevant section.
